So far it’s a very easy process to set up
I got blocked before I even got to create a username and password. What was the point in taking all my information then?
The apps interface is a little rough around the edges, but overall good experience. The customer service is excellent as well which shouldn’t be understated nowadays.
When entering limit orders, after you enter the limit price, the keyboard won't disappear, even after switching the focus to a non-keyboard input field. The green buy or sell button isn't visible on screen, so you can't place an order
Don’t like your platforms yet, they are hard to navigate
This is the worst platform for stocks - to trade or sell. Fidelity is constantly glitching and after each software update it gets worse. This is a billion dollar company yet they can’t figure out solutions for simple issues.
When you got to buy a share of an equity, you have to either select a dollar amount or share amount. You cannot execute the trade unless the “Done” button is showing and allows you to close the keyboard and execute the trade. About half the time, the “Done” button doesn’t show on the keyboard which locks you out of any trades. This is also a breaking issue when trying to execute limit orders. It’s incredibly sad that they can’t even get the core functionality right.
I love this app. I’m disappointed by how frequently shares are unavailable to buy for certain stocks but in Think or Swim the purchases ARE allowed which is confusing and seems like a Fidelity is “cherry picking” which stocks on a specific day are allowed to be bought or sold. Wednesday for example I was able to buy FMTO until it went above 100% up for the day and buy orders were NO LONGER ALLOWED FOR THIS SECURITY. AFTER I HAD BEEN BUYING THEM THAT DAY ALREADY CAUSING ME TO LOSE ON GAINS AND NOT BE ABLE TO TRADE THE WAY I PERSONALLY TRADE. When attempting limit buys at dips in the way up it’s hard to understand why I was allowed to buy up to a certain point then Fidelity decides when I can no longer buy and can only sell. Sounds familiar like what happened to me with GME and AMC. Also after a buy it takes you to the fulfillment screen and I hate that I wish it kept you on your stock chart vs showing you what you already know you just did and forcing you to wait and hit the back button while you’re trading It’s a time waster I’ve seen it cause my buy order to be delayed enough to add Pennie’s sometimes dollars into a market order and for a limit order why do I need to see that transaction on another screen that’s not beneficial to traders because it’s a waste of time and time is everything in this game. Please respond with explanations.
Won’t let me connect my bank and it’s been weeks
Seems like there's a lot of bugs in the app, someone computer illiterate would certainly have failed.
Everytime I log onto the app it prompts me to write a review so I am now writing it - 1 star because of it

Please fix this bug: occurs more often than not - when entering a buy order, the numeric pad comes up as expected but the Done button does not. On the rare occasions when the Done button shows up for you to click, Preview button then shows up as expected. You can then click Preview and proceed with your buy. However, most of the time, there is no Done button and no way to disappear the number pad and no way to get the Preview button. This occurs on an iPhone 14.

Please make this app backwards compatible. I am not going to buy a new phone so you can support Apple's greed. The option to choose Face ID on the login page has vanished. When you click Face ID in settings it refers you back to setting it up on login. Has become a catch 22!
I was on Fidelity for years and it’s easy to use, good interface, but they have an obsession with controlling their users investments. I learn of some great day-plays through my sources and it seems all the big plays get restricted pretty fast. Fidelity will prevent buy orders even without the stock being on hold, indefinitely. They claim it’s for the sake of controlling market manipulation, but when you’re trading 80% of your portfolio on a stock you love and they restrict it, there is no excuse. You can still buy if you call them, but casual traders do not have that free time. We have jobs and want to make money. They cater too hard to day traders who make the market their job and put casual traders at a disadvantage.
Ask to many personal questions and in the end don’t let you open a account
Fidelity on as an app is not the best. Learn to show the graph of our actual invested stock so we can actually see our trajectory.
I continue to get blocked out of my account even though I have not updated my information and Im not asked to reset my password. This has been happening multiple times and I just keep being told same info update your password. Ok then let me do it on my own instead of wasting 30 mins on the phone with incompetent customer service people. Its my money stop blocking me from my account.
This is a very good app. Easy to use. I do have a couple of suggestions. 1. I wish Fidelity and Apple would create an additional layer of security. If someone steals my phone and they know my passcode, they can steal everything. I’d like a separate PIN that I create to be entered along with Face ID and 2FA before access is given. Or I have to speak a phrase into the phone that I created. 2. The account balance graph or chart on the main screen lacks fidelity other competitors’ apps have. The lowest level of fidelity is 1 month, not a minute, daily, or week. Additionally, I’d love to be able to change the chart to a simple account balance over time with my contribution total and interest accrued on top of that. So if you selected any date, you see total account balance, interest earned and contributions total. Thank you.
Easy To use
Lots of pop up menus that aren’t very easy to navigate
This app was recommended to me in high regard. I must say, I am very disappointed with how outdated and difficult the process of linking a bank account and getting started is. If you leave the app for a second, for any reason, when you come back it sits on a buffering screen until you reset the app. I’m going back to Robinhood.
The app and Fidelity doesn’t show percentage gains and losses over a given time.
How am I supposed to use if i cant even add funds?
I cannot connect an external account to my account. My bank already sees the link but nothing shows on the Fidelity side

Title. This broker has increasingly become more restrictive on what penny stocks you can buy, now targeting fast moving Chinese penny stocks that are easy to make money from. Fidelity needs to be investigated and shut down.
The app keeps crashing. It took me almost 20 full mins just to get an account set up because of the lag and constant crashing, and now it won't load my bank to add it for funding. Atrocious programming!

Tried to do a premarket trade yesterday at another brokerage firm you all know well, very very big firm. Fell flat on my face. I don’t know what went wrong. I’m calling Fidelity today to start a transfer from them to Fidelity.
Difficult to navigate

Loaded this app on my new IPhone 16e and was disappointed that the Classic view was no longer available. I find the new version difficult to use.
I need to add my bank but it won’t let me. It’s been a few months now and I still can’t connect my bank to the app. Are you even investigating this issue. There needs to be a serious update.
This app is total trash
Please hire some good qa people. Placing a limit trade order on ios is simply a dead end flow. There is no way to extend or reuse previous orders instead of creating a completely new one
Love being able to see what’s going on with my money and the ease of making changes whenever I want to.
