When I was first time to use this app in 2023 which is pretty good. But the more you upgrade, the slower performance gets. Now you need to wait couple of minutes to open option chain.

New Update Creating Issues

I have always loved this app but the latest update was a big step back. The loading times have increased significantly and I have found a few bugs throughout. I may switch to using the desktop exclusively.

Last update removed some functionality

Last update removed the ability to wrap BBG tv broadcast in a separate window (which previously allowed you to watch tv and browse thru portfolio). Now sure what product owner thinks, but removing functionality that users are using is not the best strategy.

Great app but occasional very poor 2 factor code response

Blah for options.

Please have another means of verifying actual bid ask price movement or value because Fidelity does not consistently give proper pricing. One can lose a lot with their under or over price on option spreads with this application. Price does not stream. One has to continually swipe down while placing a trade for the up to minute price. (Which may or may not be correct). Can not close individual legs of options However, no cost closings on options under $1 value saves a lot of money when buying back credit spreads. FYI. This is my least favorite app to trade options.

Why not let it open to all the stocks rather than twenty that often do not include the largest holding

Worst app on iOS

Account balance widget lets you see balance for about a half hour before requiring you to login again. What’s the point of having the widget? The settings say you will need to login every 30 DAYS not minutes. Been like this for a couple years. Seems like it should take 1 minute to fix this. Please do.

Worst app on earth

The user interface is horrific constant glitches, not the kind of broker that you wanna have when you have an amount of money in there and you want to run fluidly would not recommend to anybody.

Fidelity as an institution is fine, but their app is a complete mess.

Good interface, it’s a little more challenging than I care for when I wan to transfer funds from my checking to my fidelity accounts, but that’s my only issue thus far.

App Glitches

When selecting “Buy,” then typing a number on the numeric keyboard for the selected stock, there is no “Done” button to move forward through the process to the next step. The app glitches. It has not always been like this.

Market Depth

In the new version of the app, I cannot find the Market Depth data, to gauge how other investors are investing. Now I have to flip back and forth between two apps to price my Limit Market Order. Also, now when Selling or Buying a position, and after entering the price or number of shares, system does not have the Done button unless I click on different fields then it shows up. Which delays in execution of the trade. These two items need immediate attention. Thank you.

Horribly buggy mess since update

Nobody asked you guys to copy Robinhood's oversimplified UI which is leading so many people to mindlessly lose thousands of dollars. Fidelity customers represent a different culture and clientele and we want an interface that helps us make informed long term decisions. This redesign is not only buggy but encourages harmful, reckless financial behavior by removing important data points for the sake of attracting low attention span consumers from competitors.

Sold investments in my pocket

You guys really need to make it impossible to sell stocks in your pocket. I went and bought a stock on your app in my IRA then put my phone in my pocket. Later when I pull my phone out I had transactions happen in my pocket that I did not do. I sold a complete position in my pocket. Complete garbage UI design by your team making the buy and sell buttons like a simple video game. Etrade buttons are much smaller to prevent this.

Lagger

Interface is too slow for making trades. Too many clicks to get something done in a timely manner. Webull is quicker with live pricing while making your trade

Pure trash

Constantly crashes now! Doesn’t provide trade status! The done button doesn’t show up!! Have cancel out of a trade to change order! Mow it keeps putting double orders of long and short at the same time!! The IT officer needs to be fired NOW!! Just sad for a company like FIDELITY! This development team knows nothing about trading or building an app or real estate space on a mobile!! Clearly they are not traders!! Aaarghh!! Ready yo transfer my account elsewhere!! Pure trash!

Bug!

The “done” button does not appear above the keyboard when trying to buy stock. You have to click out of the window and back in in order to complete the purchase, which is extremely cumbersome - it started with the most recent update, please fix!

Annoying Behavior

I use the Fidelity app often - nearly daily. If the app has not been opened on the iPad, it will automatically choose to login and run FaceID to seemly get to my accounts list. If you switch to another app, Fidelity will log you out after a period of time which is expected. What is annoying is open the app again and it restores from the background but it will not auto-login. One must tap the login button and then tap the FaceID button to login. No other financial services or brokerage app does this. They immediately run FaceID and log you in. This is annoying as it introduces unnecessary taps and delays to get to my accounts and initiate a trade.

Not the best option for stocks

I’ve been trading for about 5 years now and I decided to use fidelity since I had heard good things about the app but boy was I wrong , definitely not user friendly, navigating through the app is like opening a door constantly with another door behind it with no clear destination, the interface just feels so cluttered and slow , adding bank details to be able to add funds is the biggest pain of all with this app , I tried like 6 times to link my account but not once did it go through, it keep saying use fencity to add bank details but every time I add my bank details it doesn’t add it to my fidelity account, out of all the brokers I’ve tried this one has given me the most trouble and headaches , definitely recommend a different broker to those who are new to investing.

App frozen when loading the option chain after update

Please fire whoever approved the update without basic QA. The app literally freeze when simply loading the option chains and everything seems much slower than before. My iPhone is 16 Pro Max and I cannot imagine how bad it would be for other users with older models.

I transferred 10k from my bank account and it took 10 days to be able to invest, in other brokers you only have to wait for 3 or 4 days.

What is going on? Didn’t work after new design. Prior version replaced it and worked. Now the new design was loaded again and does not work

Please fix the widget

Everything was good until the last 2 updates. Now, the widget doesn’t show the balances. When you click on it, the app opens and takes you directly to the Quick Access selection page. I’ve logged out and cycled the settings. The next day, the same issue.

V4.0 is full of bugs

After updating the application to the latest version 4.0, I’ve encountered touch issues within the app. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times, and it worked properly for a while before it stopped recognizing my touch. As a result, I can’t even open the trade or transfer money screens within the application. I believe this is a serious problem, and IT needs to fix it as soon as possible.

Incredible brokerage

The customer service is impeccable, and they have many physical branches. They’re very reputable and trustworthy, and I’ve moved most of my finances to Fidelity. My only issues are that they do not offer IRA matches like Robinhood, and their margin interest rates are fairly criminal. Otherwise, Fidelity has all of what you need

App crash

My app will not allow my keyboard to populate in order for me to type.

Easy 5 stars

I’m a beginner investor with 0 knowledge. I accidentally made my account a margin account and had customer support make it a cash account again. They were so sweet and helpful. I really appreciate how fast they resolved the issue. The research tools are amazing. Stay away from robinhood because they gonna rob you (get it?).

Charts: a lot to be desired

The charts and the interactions therein are barely functional. App seems to slow start getting better. But there’s a lot to be done

Balances take too long to update after hours.

Why does it take so long for account balances to update at night? When you select specific accounts there are balance updates by around 9:30 pm eastern. However, the cumulative account balances do not update on the app homepage until after 1:00 am! If individual accounts are updated by around 9:30 pm, why does it take almost 4 additional hours for the homepage totals to be updated? Please update the homepage account balances much sooner than 1:00 am! Thank you for reviewing.

Real time no more

No view of real time stock price in app. Zero stars. Basic feature it once had.

Alphabetical order only watch lists?

Why can't you order your watch lists in the order you choose? Not alphabetical! Why is alphabetical order helpful when I want the deals I own at the top of my watch lists!! :(

App is getting better

Slowly getting better. Slowly. The most recent update is a step in the right direction. I still prefer the classic interface so I continue to use the mobile website. I just download the app every few months to try out what’s new. The app needs better use of color. The solid black/white interface lacks contrast, something the mobile web version has. Anyone missing the classic interface should just use safari on your phone and it’s close enough.
